info | Iver's results

Iver is now 6 years old and have exceeded our expectations in all
possible ways. He was pointing grouse as a puppy, at 9 months he
passed the moose/deer tracking test (needed for becoming a Swedish field
trial champion). As a puppy he won BIS at a GSP special. During his first winter he also tried the life as a
sled dog in pulka/skijoring proving to us his great capacity and energy.

He brought his eagerness for work and ability to cooperate to
the hunting season in the winter mountains already in 2005. He
pointed snowy white grouse for us all day long despite thick snow and
icy cold. Iver is our first dog where we made a
serious attempt on hunting trials. He became our teacher and we have learned a lot!
Especially during
his young dog season in 2005 where we built the foundation of our
competence as handlers on hunting trials in parallell with Iver's hunting
experiences out in the forests, mountains and on the fields.

During his second year he passed the tracking and water retrieving test
with highest scores. With his great looks he got 1st prizes at GSP specials
in junior and intermediate classes.

Since I've been in the
sleddog sport for a long time I quickly understood that Iver's
willingness to work and run like the wind would be a great asset also in
skijoring and pulka racing. During his first season we qualified to the
national team. In the Scandinavian open championship in Hamar we
got a Silver medal. We also won the Gold medal in relay in the Swedish
championships.

In 2006 Iver's mentality
was evaluated by the Swedish Brukshundklubben (Club for Working dogs)
and passed with figures matching the overall figures typically for GSPs.
He is the perfect companion, sleeps in our offices all day long, no
matter what happens outside he never leave his bed. When we demand
action - Iver's always willing to give 100%, then when it's time for a
break, he takes the opportunity to rest and gather new strength. He
doesn't pay much attention to other dogs, no fighting or barking. He
likes people without trying to tip them over and he performs even in
stressful situations like sleddog mass starts.

It was also time for
the yearly tracking/water test and once again he managed top scores, now in open
class. When he was 2,5 years of age he received 1st and 2nd price in
open class hunting trial in the Swedish mountains, he also received 1st
and 2nd price in hunting trials in the southern part of Sweden. With this
he was qualified for the highest class in hunting trials in Sweden -
called Elit-class.
He was also qualified for the stud list for the Swedish GSP club.

(Iver is the leftmost GSP)
In February 2007 he
received his third certificate and became a sleddog champion (S(drag)CH).
During the Swedish championships we managed to get two gold medals, one
in pulka style over 20km and one in relay. We also finished in 6th place
in the World championships!

In May & June 2007 we
went to 5 shows with Iver resulting in 3 certificates and became Swedish
show champion (SUCH) , one CK in champion class and a BOB. In addition
he was ranked 5th male in hunting/working class in the largest GSP show
in Sweden.

We went to another
obedience test, 1st prize and qualification to level 2. In addition we
tried out Working Test (as for retrievers) where we got two first prizes
(beginners class and open class) beating several retrievers.

Iver passed the
tracking/water test in elit-class with highest scores and managed to get
1 first prize and three second prize on hunting trials during September &
October 2007.

During the autumn of 2007 we
enjoyed many great moments with Iver as he continously showed us what
owning a GSP is all about!

The year 2008 we decided to
race only two times resulting in two gold medals in the Swedish
championships. One in relay and one in 20km long distance. (Iver in the
lead).

During spring & summer 2008 Iver recieved
2xCK & R-CACIB in Sweden and also cert, CACIB and BIM in Finland
and by that Iver became Finnish show champion. He also participated in working test
at Fäviken Game Fair where he recieved good marks and is now
qualified to elite class. In moose/deer tracking Iver has shown great capacity
and received a 2nd prize in open class at his first test with judges comments
"excellent tracking team". At the end of the summer he got a 1st prize in
obedience test level II and qualified for level III.

Iver also managed as one out of 11 to get
scores on the field part (60 points, the fourth highest score on fields) in the Swedish Riksprovet,
the hunting test where more than 40 dogs compete in a hunting test consisting of an ordinary hunting day,
and also water and tracking. Unfortunately the tracking did not work, but we had a great time.
We also went to Finland & the south of Sweden for hunting pheasants with great results.

We also decided to use Iver on deer this autumn, with good result.

During 2009 we went to two shows resulting in two R-CACIBs, also to obedience tests where Iver received 2x2 prize in level III.
We also went to one final hunting test where Iver was awarded with 1st prize and became Swedish Hunting Champion.
